well i finaly got around to starting on it. heres what i got so far,, still a ways to go. goina go put in teeth now,, will post another shot sometime tonite

It seems like you did the opposite of the top lid eyeshape that is in almost all of the concepts. Top lid (and brows) point inward, rather than away from the center of the face. What you did gave him a bit of a surprised/naive/scared/old expression.

Yeah dude, i'm digging the detailing but the basic gesture that made it so joustawesome is missing. Eyes point outward, head flares out at the top in a boxlike shape, 'ears' arc down away from there -- your shapes are very static and pudgy right now. Push the outline! do it Joustice!

getting closer? theres some things in the concepts i just cant make work on a 3d model, but i hope i'm catching the feel more, goina finigle the brows a bit more now

rhinokey i really like where this is going. great job so far. the second rendition of the head is like spot on.

i apologies for my art being difficult to take into 3d, i;ve run into the same problem when modeling my own stuff as has others who have given it a shot.

that's usually the case so please don't get discouraged. really its always great seeing the modeler show up in the work. like what your gonna bring to it will be very cool.

after all its just there for inspiration and since you wanted to tackle it, it has already done its job!

the neckbrace is looking super sweet.

The tighter curves on his neck brace, just under his chin, should read more like square corners with rounded bends, rather than fluid bends as they read now. The concept has them the way I've suggested so I thought I'd mention it.
