maya transfer map problem

this is a repeating problem of mine, the search envelope keeps being screwy, one minute it kept going into the model instead of going out side of the model. now it wont move no matter how far i set the bar. its at 100 and hasn't even budged.
what have i done wrong?

The "wont move" thing is a bug, you can try to just restart maya and see if that fixes it.
