I'm in the final hours of my dead line for a class project. I've scoured Google, Alta Vista, and even the dreadedly unreliable 4chan for inspiration and surely I've come across some amazing things...
But I'm sitting in front of my TV as I'm working on my environments and prop illustrations and whatnot that must relate to a character I've created. As much as I enjoy the comedic escape that The Simpsons and Family guy may offer, I'm thinking I could enjoy watching something inspirational that may influence my work.
My character is a raver in the throws of addictions to pills and hallucinogens. Any suggestions for movies that may offer some interesting takes on that scene or culture???
Youtube links gladly accepted as well as anything on Netflix instant cue =D
thanks for your time, polycounters

Jacque: I've seen Fear and Loathing maybe 6 times in my life and I have no idea why I hadn't considered scanning over it for this project until now. Thank you so much for rehashing that for me, I love that scene!
Justin: I'm amazed at what I just saw. I need to find this movie asap! I'm really digging the black and white TV, too. Thanks for the post and I hope to god I don't have any dreams like that, haha.

There you go.
Lol, William S. Burroughs drugged and medicated? That's just crazy talk. Actually, I think Naked Lunch was more of an auto-biography, seriously. Pretty much anything he is written is the best reference for a drug trip if you can manage to get through the incoherentness. I'm currently going through the red night triology... pretty awesome so far.

Heheh, I actually dreamt about this image tonight after seeing it here. Just thought I'd mention it, it's a very interesting interpretation of pacman.
