Hello all!
My name is Chris Hatala, and I am Animation Director and Co-Founder of a studio called Massive Black, Inc. I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread, so if it's misplaced, or not allowed, my apologies!!
I wanted to pass on to anyone interested that I am going to be giving a live, streaming lecture this coming Saturday, 19 September, 10am-1pm PST.
Details:
http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=168583
I'll be talking about some of my animation shots from the films Lord of the Rings, and King Kong. And will be covering things like gestures and posing, animation, work flow processes, and overall creative problem solving.
Thanks and I hope to see you there!

Hopefully you'll stick around and continue posting!
Is this streaming only, or will there be a video download available after the lecture?
To answer your question: if you attend the day-of stream, the perks are that you can ask me all sorts of vulgar questions in the Q&A session at the end. =P I promise to do my best in answering them all, lol.
Otherwise there will be a stream available of the lecture offered 'On Demand' for a limited time. (with no ability to ask vulgar questions).
12-3pm on a Saturday sounds good to me (central time )
Spark
Spark: whoa, what's up dude? didn't realize you were kicking around here, hehe. duh, i should have known. still waiting for you to outsource me some Rage anims... ) hope texas is treating you well, and i send my regards to the fam.
gavku: it will be pretty similar to any of my previous workshop lectures, except for two things: the added posing and gesture stuff and I don't think I will be doing a live demo (yet). So yeah, if you happened to see the Wellington one, it will be along those lines minus the live demo.
it sounds like gavku has seen one of my lectures (that venue was awesome), and Spark has definitely been there a few times now (he gives lectures too!!).

Only 2 days left to register!
Thanks for all the support everyone, and while the nerves are definitely rattling, lol, I'm super excited and anxiously awaiting Saturday.
.Murder: The stream should be available for about 3 weeks. I think it is another stream and not a downloadable.
Kessler: thanks for the words! it's always good to hear our info has been helpful (and affordable!). so, we really appreciate it. And, lol, I'll be sure and tell Coro, but I already know what he's going to say, "It's never not twins..."
