i want to buy a pair of 3D glasses for stereotype Game Engine display

Buy a pack of 10 - the cardboard types are pretty cheap - I bought some to try out anaglyph photography last year - can get some good results.

You'll need to know if it's red and blue or red and green.

I'd say dont bother with red/blue stuff. Go for the Nvidia shutter glasses, with a 120hz monitor.

I was thinking of making my own, You can buy Some red/blue clear plastic sheets from hobby lobby. Thats way you can make em sturdy. Also, Doe they just work with Red and blue? If I put 2 red and 1 green in one side of the frame and 2 blue and 1 green in the other would they be more effective? RGB.

You need specific shades, otherwise you get horrible ghosting. It won't break the bank @ $5 for a pack of 10 though.

I've been meaning to try the demo at the local pc store

I got my red blue glasses from the mini art book of dead space hehe.

Another option is to use polarized 3D glasses, with a compatible LCD monitor. I don't know how this technology stacks up against shutter glasses, but it might be worth a look, if you need a new monitor anyhow.
