I want to do animation/rigging ( those seem to go hand in hand. ) and need a little advice on what would be the best course of action.
Basically what I would like to know is getting learned from Gnomon school or Animation Mentor worth it?
Would getting DVD tutorials be the better?
( for learning not for cost. )

advice welcome. :)

I'd say that Animation Mentor would be the best option in terms of quality. Maybe not for rigging, but certainly for actual animation. You could always teach yourself rigging through tutorial DVD's before or afterwards.

Seems the number of Animation Mentor grads getting hired and producing top-quality work would suggest that they're doing something right. As far as I know, Gnomon (the school, not their range of DVD's) doesn't have a dedicated animation course, but instead focuses on a broader range of techniques. Still a great school, though.

It's not an easy question for a stranger on the internet to answer. Do some research, see what course (or DVD) feels right for you, and get to it.
