Max 2010: What the heck is going on?

Alright, I'm going through Eat 3D's Fountain Tutorial and getting used to Max 2010 and either I'm going crazy, I hit a weird hotkey new from 2009, or Max is freaking out. Take a look:

I can't move a vert along the x-axis.
I can move it along the z-axis
y axis really weird and doesn't cooperate with the direction of the mouse.

Did you hit any kind of constraint in edit poly?

Yar, somehow I hit constrain to face. No clue how that happened, but at least I can continue! Thanks =]
