Immersive Learning Designer
Adayana provides actions and answers through learning, strategy, research and technology services to clients worldwide, specializing in the food and agriculture sector. We are seeking an Immersive Learning Designer to join our GameWare development team in Champaign, Illinois. The successful candidate must have expertise in game design, scripting and implementation as well as an understanding of instructional design principles to effectively support the development of online gaming and interactive courseware for our client.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
· Design, create, implement and iterate fun and compelling gameplay
· Create and maintain detailed, up-to-date specs, asset lists and other design documents
· Provide input on the game's vision and help champion that vision to other team members
· Keep team leads and managers advised of progress on tasks, recommended improvements and problems encountered
· Keep up with competitive products and upcoming releases
Job Requirements:
· Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher
· Must have at least 2 complete product cycles as a professional designer; Proven track record with AAA console products and/or online development preferred
· Understanding of scripting languages, such as JavaScript, C# and/or Python required
· Must have in-depth understanding of how gameplay works and how to create fun, meaningful experiences for the player
· Broad knowledge base of console and PC games required
· Must have a passion for games and be able to articulate that passion clearly and analytically
· Excellent communication and organizational skills required
· Must be able to multi-task and have flexibility with changing role requirements
· Proficiency with editors such as Unity3D, UnrealED, Source, QERadiant, or CryTek's Sandbox engine a plus
· Any scripting, art and/or technical skills relevant to game development strongly desired
· Must be able to provide playable work samples upon request
