Ok, so I’ve gotten the textures done. Still quite a bit of work to go. I’ve got to pose him, texture the armour, create a simple background and a final render. Then comes further polishing in photoshop, making it as pro and presentable as I can get it.

not bad for a short schedule

Having human-like hands and feet on such a monstrous looking character is a little disturbing. Maybe try playing with that, like the forest spirit from Princess Mononoke in elk form. Totally freaked me out the first time I saw that character. OR just give him more monster like hands and feet with claws and all that.
