Nice stuff, but yeah... I doubt Herge et al really stole their stuff from some 'previously unknown' illustrators who look like they use... Adobe Illustrator with grunge overlays in Photoshop.
Was just listening on Radio 4 to a report on how the Soviets copied the Winnie the Pooh character and called him something like "Vinnie ze Pugh" and he was fairly popular over there.
Apparently under their international law they don't have to payup for breacing copyright etc. Hence all the ripoffs/inspirations.
Wow that Vinni Puh is awesome. I never liked the disney Pooh bear as a kid, so boring and dull, interaction between characters seemed slow and lifeless, etc... This on the other hand is really fun, I love his little song at the end haha.
