3D max Textures auto-tileing

Hey everyone, I'm using max 9 and lately whenever I apply a texture, it always tiles to seemingly 100x100. This happens if I load the texture from the material editor, and drag + drop.

I tried to reset the defaults on max, but to no avail. What's going on and how can I undo this?

just found out that it may have something to do with real-world map size.

yup it was added in the max 2009 design edition for the design fools who think real world coordinates rule the world (kind of similar to the ignorant print people and their DPI,mm,...). Very annoying, also the propagate instances in the material editor (don't bother if you don't have max2009 design).

luckily the real world unit switch has been undone in max2010, but in max 9 it should not be active by default (2009 it should be). It can be turned off in the general preferences or per bitmap material in the material (top left or somewhere in each bitmap).

Ah, I just beat ya to it. I unchecked real-world coordinates in general preferences. That fixed it. Thanks.
