G'day, this is what I get up to in my IT classes at high school :P. It's a comic of sorts, I might make a Sara Palin one haha, note that I'm australian so I dont really care about american polititions, they're just such interesting characters!
IMO... I'm not a fan of this. I like Obama and McCain and don't like how they are portrayed in the comic. I do like the art style you chose though. I'm sure if I didn't live where I do, I would probably find it funny.
ya not a huge fan of the topic, style is pretty cool. Except i dont like how you drew obama's jacket on the right (looks lazy) also everything has a speech bubble except "I want you to try"
which doesnt make sense.
so the joke is really the australian school system, right? In that this will get a passing grade, despite having text falling out of the box, typos, heavily aliased, lazy photoshop posterize filter on AP images with a bit of sloppy brushwork and what appears to be text distorted in Microsoft Word?
It's still funny in aus, or for my classmates at least, just a bit of fun?
What might be funny to us Australians, might be very insulting and intolerant to others. Americans tend to actually like their politicians so posting it here wasnt wise, as the bulk of english speaking 3d artists are probably American.
Political cartoons also tend to be witty and artistic, this is neither.
Mr Madison I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Someone needs to go read up on how political cartoons are formatted and what makes them funny.
1) You draw everything. Be it digital or traditional, you draw it. Can't draw? Well then you're an actor without a face, practice your radio voice.
2) Caricatures are a staple of political humor.
3) You have a current political message with a humorous spin, often in one panel.
4) Horrible PhotoChoppery need not apply.
Examples:
Please, like all good art, get to know your subject, go marinate in ref and think before you draw or in this case pretend to be Charlie Manson with only web access.

which doesnt make sense.
If so, good joke
But I bet it could still be sold to one of the major news networks as one of their wacky propaganda campaigns.
but why is this here?
