Hello all, this is my first WIP thread here. I'll try make first character model.
Modeling in XSI. I am hoping to finish this character.
Critique is very wanted. Thanks all!
Very cool so far. Only thing that bothers me is her head on concept, which is way too tightly packed inside helmet. Some indication of neck would be nice too.
i would try adding a groove to the helmet where the lights are, or maybe get rid of the lights on top of the helmet altogether. They make the helmet look a little like a gecko with an open mouth
::00Zero:: Sorry Serozh maybe in future I change faster server.
I knew your work earlier. Amazing! Thank for Reply.
::Sandro:: I'll try correct helmet. Thank
::n88tr:: ::Belias:: Thank... You mean transparent on visor in concept ? First I rendered body, some element "Armors mainly". After I drawing in photoshop. I advice videotutorial http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/store/product/534/
::butt_sahib:: thank man
::Alec3d:: I hidden base mesh, has not to observe that. Dont worry, when i finish i show face.
::P442:: After I will make other version with lamps. Open mouth that is good idea.
looks good so far. It looks like there is a hole in her hand. Maybe just open faces or unwelded vertices?
Also, the shoulder pads could be more interesting. Something seems off about them to me. Maybe, the lower shoulder pad should be bigger and come down more to cover more of her arm.
What is the device on her arm?
Hello, thank very much P442. I correct body, face.
I think isn't no good that has got simply pants.
I dont like new version pants. I would make new all.
I love the delicate anf flimsy clothing, it has a nice elegant scifi woman feel and it is nice to see such a design that doesn't rely on big heels, big boobs, lots of flesh. I also like the latest head, she has a fantastical feeling to her , again a refreshing design to see, a nice other worldly quality runs through everything.
this is excellent work man. your modeling is great. i have a few problems with the design itself, and i'm not quite sure about her posture.
she seems to have like a "lava lamp" shape instead of an hourglass. i'm not saying model her naked, but i would have done it a little less bulked.
i would maybe make her posture a little straighter, she seems to be dropping her shoulders back with her gut sticking forward. also, her feet should be angled out a bit, as they are now it gives her an awkward stance.
I like this face better, She looks more intelligent.
But that's just my opinion, you know what you're doing more than most of the people here critiquing it.
first off great stuff new helmet rocks would like to see an image of it sans wires as well, tho your edgeflow is quite nice.
second the gun is pretty damn sweet, gotta love moving bits, but i think the handle may be a bit too wide for her hand just judging baised off the size of the trigger, also i dont feel like her finger could fit in the trigger guard to actually use the gun, the guard is much more open in the concept i think it would be good to give that a try, also try placing it in her hand to check functionality.
still this is awesome i do dig the gun design alot. the simple elegance of that knife is great to see along with all this complexity as well. she might want a sheath for it tho.
i think some of the facial proportions could use a little help too, the nose is a little small and the jaw is super narrow and the upper head is a bit wide, usually 5 eyes wide across where the eyes are. if she is wearing that sweet helmet than it might not be worth redoing it.
great stuff so far tho. new helmet is a good choice!
::uneditablepoly:: thank. I know is already corrected
::teaandcigarettes:: Thank. hmm... Toha Heavy Industries. The first time I hear.
Do you have got picture with fishermen.?
::roosterMAP:: haha, no I'm not master, no yet. Thanks for the good words dude.
::brandoom:: thank
I throw the first attempt with the colors, in a few places there is no ready-made textures, mechanical scratches (on pipboy, grenades, etc..), but it is yet to catch up.

How do you make the model visor transparent like that?
I would assume he has the basic head modeled but not at a point where he wanted to show it.

I dont know how repair this:
Cheers:)
I'm not totally sure about those errors you don't know how to fix but it looks like a smoothing group issue to me.
