forum suggestion?

Hey, not really sure where to put this, and not really sure if its at all plausible, but I think it would be a good idea.

anyways, recently a friend of mine got his scene (http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=64483) into the banner rotation. So, now that I know they come from threads within the forums, I thought it would be a good idea if we could click on the banner and it would bring us to that specific thread. I know theres been a few banners i would love to see the discussions about, hopefully see some progress work.

Just a thought. And im not even sure if its possible since I dont know much about web pages.

What do you think?

I use the banner to get back to the main forum page so out of a purely selfish reason I don't like the idea, well maybe if the link to the thread and artist website where down in the "art by" text. Or gasp I could change my polycount habits which is up for a big shake up already, someday...

haha nah, you're right, im still rather new to the forums, so i dont have those habits. but ya, even the "art by" text that brings you to the thread would be cool. I know most the regulars probably have already seen the threads, but im sure the new faces would like it.

I've had the same thought for awhile now, so I'm for it. Unless there is some technical issue, I think it'd be great to spread some love. If the art was just in a general showcase thread, maybe make the artist's name in the banner link to the forum profile?
