disable PS auto panning/scrolling

I hate it when I paint near the edge of the screen that ps moves the canvas..

is there a way to disable it or at least make it a LOT slower ?

I change the screen mode to full.

I use the hand/scroll tool (spacebar) to move the canvas over. Works with selection too. I also zoom in and out which you can also do while selecting.

I've never found a way to adjust the scroll speed so I just work around it.

vig: the problem is, when painting you don't know where the point is where ps starts to superfast move the canvas

selecting isn't a problem

Yeah, it drives me nuts. I feel your pain.

learn the shortcuts then you will love fullscreen. Also on windows you can hit shortcuts like [ALT]+[L] (for the filter menu) , or [ALT]+[F] for the file menu, or some combos like
[ALT] + ...and then... [P] to crop the canvas to the bounding box of the selection

of course if you use a translated version those shortcuts are different - but at least it allows you to jump into menus that were hidden in former PS releases.
