learn the shortcuts then you will love fullscreen. Also on windows you can hit shortcuts like [ALT]+[L] (for the filter menu) , or [ALT]+[F] for the file menu, or some combos like
[ALT] + ...and then... [P] to crop the canvas to the bounding box of the selection
of course if you use a translated version those shortcuts are different - but at least it allows you to jump into menus that were hidden in former PS releases.

I've never found a way to adjust the scroll speed so I just work around it.
