Hi, so, I decided not to enter the contest, but I plan on using this model so i finished it. I went a bit "oversaturated" with the texture cause of style preference. anyway, here it is:
Awesome job! I actually think the oversaturation really works. Might not be "realistic" but from an artistic standpoint, I really like how it contrasts. That being said, however, I think you could add a litttle more variation to the tones in the metal elements (restraints?) It looks great in silouhette, but its so dark that it pulls my eye away from the creature. If the shoulder straps, and chains were colored differently, I think it would help break up the large dark areas. Just my 2 cents tho - love the design.
nice stuff the mouth and head design came out great! not sure how i feel about the chest scales, its prefrence i guess. i agree with shepeiro the right shader could make that texture sing
Looking great, love the saturation and style. The orange is flat like said and the omega symbol is a little to plain with pretty much that same color throught. I think changing it up with some lighter metal colors. Your scratches on it might pop more if they were lighter too.
Damn Peter... the style is awesome. I do agree with Josh a bit, maybe adding some dirt / or more variation to the skin, maybe some purples underneath (veins... skin patterns etc) that could help break it up a bit.
I am really digging how the big symbol thing (no clue what it is) around his shoulders is reading, more so the edges, I love that, really sells the material well.
dude this is freaking amazing, and even though the texture may be unrealistic for a game, i could totally see this as like a mcfarlane statuette, the glossiness makes it look like a really high end toy/model!

Really like the saturation, though!
I agree with Sectuars the color is a little flat so is the black color in omega shape.

Nice to see a different approach on texturing.

Colors are awesome though, don't remove the orange!
