UPDATE 15-02-2011:
Hi guys! Sorry for digging up the old portfolio thread, figured I might as well use the old one.
I've done a big update of my portfolio, with some of the art I've been doing the last year and a half, as well as a new look for the site itself. Any crits would be highly appreciated

Hey guys!
I just wanted to pimp my brand new portfolio that I just finished up.

I've worked at the GRIN Gothenburg office, until recently when the studio was closed. I am now therefor looking for a new on-site job at the moment.
Please let me know what you think
Cheers!

I would suggest removing the "finest stuff___" line and one or two of the empty horizontal lines above it. That change would allow your environment image to move further up vertically on your main page, so that it's immediately visible when your page loads. I'm on a 1280 x 960 crt monitor as opposed to a 1280 x 1024 lcd.
Or you could change the order, putting the Visual Prototype section above the Unpublished Project section, with the about me section at the bottom. Not to say you aren't important, just saying as it is your portfolio I think the artwork should be seen first.
Those gsm maps are interesting, are they like a specular color and specular power map all rolled into one?
Good luck to you
@Ben Apuna: I took you suggestion and tightened up the top part a bit, although I kept the introduction up there. I also added some of my older stuff to the site while I was at it.
The gsm maps are really only 3 different black and white maps in the R G and B channels of a DXT1 texture, which we used as gloss, specular and a mask of free choice (usually used as alpha or to mask out the cube map for interesting material effects). The combined color result looks very disco though.
We're looking for env artists over here at SD at the moment, if you're interested...
@MoP: I was just about to write an application for Splash Damage actually. I'd really like to work there, especially on projects like BRINK which has such a strong and stylized art direction.
Cheers!
tried it in FF, IE, and chrome
good luck mate
