okay i've been looking for advice on my new rig on EVGA forums to no avail.

I"ve always gotten top notch technical expertise from my fellow polycounters

here's my breakdown.

i built a new rig. .. high power top notch. frame rates SUCK

in the meantime, I'm sending my GTX 260 back to newegg for replacement even though i dont believe anything is wrong with it... but hey, gotta do something!!

    Not having read all the posts on evga forum here's some ideas.

    I'd say it's either a problem with your GPU or your Motherboard.

    Try your GTX 260 in another comp and see how it performs.

    Try installing another OS if you have this possibility, one that has been around for a while that is stable (as they get). I'd say WinXP, else WinVista.

    If your GTX 260 works well on another computer and installing another OS didn't fix your issue I'd be pointing my finger at the motherboard. If you have the possibility and feel that you can be arsed to do it start switching around your components to another motherboard.
