3ds Max - hiding/closing rollouts?

Hello everybody, long time lurker and first time poster. After a couple days of searching and fiddling around on my own, I can't find any solution to a gripe I have, so I've finally turned to the boards!

Lately I've become annoyed by a couple of aspects of the 3ds max interface, particularly concerning rollouts I have no interest in using. Things like the "subdivision displacement" and "vertex properties" rollouts seem to have a nasty habit of reopening themselves or repositioning randomly when I restart 3ds max. Is there a way to permanently hide these rollouts from the interface, or keep them closed and out of my way forever? I have tried configuring them the way I like them and saving the maxstart.3ds and maxstartUI to see if that would help, but unfortunately, no dice.

I greatly appreciate any input! :)

LMB click on the name of the rollout menu to minimize them.

LMB click and hold, and drag them into any order you want.

Customize > Save Custom UI scheme with everything turned on should be saving this as your default. As far as closing them entirely goes, someone else would have to tell you that. I'm too bored to look right now :)
