Since we rely so much on these for our life passion. What would you do instead if you lost one or both?
Examples (not mine just examples ideas of keeping to related fields)
Hand loss: Become a creative director. Possibly work in MMOG creating quests?
Eye loss: Work with companies trying to create games for the blind.
Both: ?
Song inspired this question.

work for Ea ? XD
On a serious note, its a concern.
That really cracked me up!
Dunno, I suppose I will think about it later if it happens.
Yep, definitely would be doing the same thing. If I had no hands, I'd probably do something that involved my legs like sports or athletics.
Indeed, screw hooks when you can have a chainsaw
Loose the eyes, shotgun with a wider scatter pattern.
Loose both eyes and both hands, get yourself one of these:
If I lost my eyes, I'd probably end up going insane. I have no musical talent and, hell, I hardly listen to music and don't really care about it. I think I'd probably have to turn to writing just to keep from killing myself.
not to derail the topic but I could never in my life understand this.
my only guess is you've never heard something you've particularly liked
Groovy.
People always look at me like I'm from Mars when I say that, and then they say that same sentence almost verbatim; that I just haven't found something I particularly like.
It's not that I dislike music, it's just that it doesn't interest me at all. It's like cars; to me, cars are tools to get from point A to point B. If they look cool, that's great, but they're simply not interesting to me beyond what I can do with them. In the same way, I think music works better when it's there to do a job like being the soundtrack for a movie or game or something.

No hands, well, I would still do what I would be doing now. I mean, doesnt take much to click and move a mouse with a stump of a arm
Both, eh, I'm thinking a guidance counselor of some sort, were ears and a mouth are more important.
If hands I would just get used to only having pen control from the wrist up. If eyes, I would probably listen to my own sobs and wipe the tears from my useless eyes. Then look into wacky implants and stuff to the optical nerve that can restore some vision. I couldn't make a living doing music, I don't think, but it would make a good hobby.
No hands: attach a sword to my stumps and travel to africa in an effort to conquer some small country.
OH NOES! IT'S MISTER JELLY!
Regardless, I'm still gonna work on games.
Or you could attach a squeegee to your stumpy arm and clean car windows,
I bet you'd make bank.
no eyes.. cant see porn..
no hands .. cant touch myself..
oh dear what a depressing situation..
Dan Caro plays the drums without hands (just little thumbs).
No matter, you can lose almost all of it. If you have the brains.
He genuinely had this happy look about him.
ROFL!
Groovy.

argh, that's something that's been grinding my gears lately. Raise your hand if you ever met someone collecting disability for a "back problem" that spends almost 24/7 playing MMOs? Don't the majority of jobs consist of sitting on your ass in front of a computer all day?
like, as much as lindsay lohan?
wait wait... you can do that?
I have two herniated disks and some nerve damage...
