John Hughes, director of culturally significant films such as "The Breakfast Club," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Planes, Trains and Automobiles," died suddenly today of a heart attack while taking a morning walk during a trip to Manhattan. He was 59.

I'm gonna go find a ferrari to back off the second floor of some nice mansion, in loving tribute. Le sigh.

Suffer a heart attack while out for a walk...horrible irony there. I only saw 'The Breakfast Club' recently and I enjoyed it.

This is a sad day indeed. We lost a film maker who’s provided the children of the 80's and the generations there after with some truly memorable films. His films have gone on to have a life of their own and will be appreciated for years to come. RIP John and thanks again for showing a bunch of kids how cool computers can be. This is in reference to the scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off ^_^.
