Yeah he did say that this release is only focusing on Export, it seems like it can't do one-click re-import (yet).
Does seem like it supports FBX import, though?
I'm gonna move this thread to technical talk, fits better there.
its not one-click. At least in mudbox, max and uvLayout its at least 2 clicks if not more. Its kind of a wrong advertisement claiming its just a one click solution which it simply is not.
what really would be awesome would be some independent tool that automates that stupid clicks that it needs to merge, import or update a 3d model with textures. But thats not what this tool does, at least not in the case of UV layout.
Also I assume that in the case of 3dsmax and maya you'll still need to install xtra plugins or scripts in order to send it back or export it.
I am not so impressed after I saw the video,- I expected more by the title itself.
I think the worst part here is that it's for Mudbox 2010, not 2009. I'm really hoping for a cheap upgrade. If it's anything near $200 I'm going to seriously consider a Zbrush or 3D Coat purchase instead.

Still pissed off about the faceted shading bug. We were originally promised an SP3 that would fix it, but now it seems we'll have to buy the new one...
Not exactly GoZ but a good step forward for Mud. Congrats to Wayne for putting in so much work already. Gotta get it to flow back and that really is the trick...
That is a North-Eastern accent if I ever heard one (I have heard quite a few coming from there!)... he lives in the Derwent Valley so it's not quite Geordie - maybe even more Mackum... saying that hes got a Geordie accent could get you into trouble where he's from Im sure!

Wayne Robson is awesome. Famous 3D Geordie!
seems cool for those jealous of GoZ however

Well put
I don't know about the rest of you but I'm thinking of goingZ right about now.
I Wish I could go back in time to when they were Skymatter and tell myself it's a "bait and switch" don't do it!
guess i'll just stick with the original Mudbox

That there is no dutch accent!

Shame this is only available for 2010 and not 2009, because I will not be upgrading that's for sure at that price
