Siggraph anyone?

will be in new orleans looking at portfolios and such, anyone going??

i like siggraph, gives me the opportunity to meet up with 3d professionals that do other things besides games.. and the white papers are always a nice little view into the future..

i will be at the insomniac booth if anyone wants to stop by and have their portfolio ripped apart..
or just say hello....

i was going to head out but didn't have an extra 1k to throw down.

Although Autodesk will be airing their master classes from siggraph on The Area... from siggraph.

actually there is no master classes at siggraph, only the online vids, i was going to teach one and they said due to the economy they are only offering online classes, so i would have to go through the trouble of recording the screen and editing my presentation, myself. didnt think it was worth it so the facial animation pipeline class i was going to teach with a tech artist from here was scrapped, so now i am just going and having fun..

Since its in new orleans this year, didn't have the extra cash to go. I'm looking forward to hearing any news that comes out of it though.

They cycle Siggraph, 1 year in LA, 1 year somewhere else, repeat. Basically so people on the other side of the country don't get shafted ALL the time.
