Ive made posts in the past but i suggest not to look at them as none of the models ever got finished, so i'm going to start fresh with an Fn Scar, Ive gathered my References and i'm just about to start my High poly.
I will post a work in progress as soon as i fix the problem why my primitives keep auto triangulating, Could someone tell me why ? Thanks alot guys

are you using editable mesh instead of editable poly? I know it shows the tris when you aren't in modify mode
Close Max and see if that fixed it

Nice start for sure, the trigger guard looks a little wobbly from the side but overall I think you're off to a nice direction
The hinge for the buttstock looks really thin and flimsy, from looking at some references it appears to have much larger hinges with covers on them to keep dust/dirt out. Personally i'm not digging the pistol grip design, if you were to stick with the horizontal slashes I would shoot for a grip like this The high poly is coming along very nicely!
-The side rails are WAY too small. You may wanna bring them to the end of the gun, as well.
-The hinge for the stock is very inaccurate. Follow the link below for all the reference you could ever need
-The insets on the clip are out of place and should be different sizes like in the ref you are using.

By the way, ive changed the Clip completely.
Also, the shape of your rails is off, should be more like this:
Also, the hinge should be on the pther side of the stock, I believe. Another thing is that the box-like thing connecting the stock to the weapon's body should be curved at the top like in the ref you are using.
Plus, do you have the ref loaded up in Max? Seems like some parts are way off while others are fine. Well anyways, keep chugging along, this is great so far .
Gun looks like it needs to be widened from what I see at the top.

Also, does anyone think its safe to move onto the Low poly ?

I have over exaggerated for the purpose of showing you but yours look like the railing on the right. But if you look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picatinny_rail or
You can see that they are shaped more like the rails on the left.
edit: Also looks too thin.
Take a look at Kaskad's, the gun is a lot wider in comparison. At the moment his looks more accurate.
