Hey there,i was wondering if anyone has had experience on how hard is it to get into the UK to work as a non EU citizen. I was about to get a job offer in Brighton but all of a sudden visa became an issue and i have a bad feeling that not being able to qualify for a tier 1 visa will put this job at stake. The biggest issue i have with my points for a tier 1 visa is i have an Art Institute degree which does not give me any points causing me to have insufficient points for a tier 1.
1.Is tier 2 that much of a pain in the ass that it could cause an employer to overlook me?
2. I have a work visa in another EU country, does that count for anything?
3. Does experience count and can it overcome the 4 year degree issue? I have about 10 years total experience as a 3d artist,4 being in games.
I have about 3 job possibilities in the UK at the moment but i am a little afraid that the visa issue will close all these doors for me.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
FYI my nationality is American.

Because to get a tier one visa(fastest entry visa) you need a four year degree or a PHD,anything else scores no points in their point based system. You need 75 points to get in i have 50,last 25 percent is solely based on a 4 year degree. My art institute 2 year degree doesnt matter one bit. Tier 2 is a little tricky because the company has to prove that they have tried to fill this position within people in the UK
Hmm from what I know it shouldnt be hard to get the tier 2, I know a few people that have them, its all down to how much the employer wants you and if they are willing to make the extra effort.
