so, the mazda taiki, imho, its got one of the most awesome front ends in car design.
however, the back looks like crap.
so i decided to redesign it.
here's the taiki, after a quick photoshop session:
so, taiki, love it? hate it?
what would you change?

your little change there introduces a thin bar right below the door. i imagine it would make getting in/out of the car very "interesting".

- Its a cool concept in the new line of mazda design language, that features a really cool front.
- I love the lights that glow trough the metal, its like they are under or the covering material is transparent.
-Awesome doors
- Sweet rims.
Dislike:
- The wings that cover the back wheel is a rather smart design that is also practical when speaking about aerodynamic of the car. But I lke ur take on the back wheels better DejaWolf. Rims that nice have to be seen.
- I get the idea that the cars desgin draws inspiration from japanese culture and nature(wind in this case) but I think they go to far in this case to prove their point, tear-drop formed steering wheel,WTF?
But now what we are talking Mazda, I will pic the Mazda Furai anytime over the Taiki, even tough its a race car.
QFT
now this is a concept
meh, needs more shuriken rims.
edit: that is to say, it's probably designed by drag co-efficient nerds, for drag co-efficient nerds. not for 3d artists :P
I like this;

FJ Holden Effigy. Curvy.
brandoom: sheit man you would get all the bitches with that mobile. look at the bold rougishness of that paneling.
i saw this POS at the los angeles auto show a few years ago. looks like it was made out of plastic and would fall apart if you turned the engine on.
im honestly sick of all these super out there concept cars. if the designer knows there is no way in hell that it will make production why the hell do they waste time and money on that stuff.
the reason i like the taiki is because the front end reminds me of this thing:
Such as nuclear power.
mundane. it lacks an awesome kebab slicer front end.
you're just spoiled and hate cars, thats all.
here's a real eyeburner:
@ Marine - I actually like that one a lot. Old meets new, very slick.
I'm still in the love with the classic camaro though. IMO, it doesn't get much better than this.
yeah, nothing as eyecatching as a 1970s musclecar.
Hm..I'd rather take the road friction and lesser aerodynamics when it = stopping power and traction...
Aside from how ugly and fragile it looks I also immediately thought "wtf" about how skinny those tires are. Tiny contact patch = terrible breaking, turning, etc.
OMG DIE! It's a 1968! :poly127:
THIS is a 1970 camaro (which I DESPISE)
They f'd with the silhouette and don't even get me started on that front end & grill. BLEH
