MaxScript query...

Does anyone know a way in which you can override max’s default function to cycle through the selection region modes when pressing ‘Q’. I only ask because I use a pen in max and often find I accidently move objects when I don’t intend to and sometime I don’t notice to till an hour later! By pressing ‘Q’ it goes back to the select tool rather than the move tool and there is no risk of this. Unfortunately it also cycles through the region selection modes (lasso, rectangular etc..) which I rarely use. So yeah does anyone know a way around this in script or any other method?

Yeah thats really annoying, but its easy to fix and theres no script needed. By default 'Q' is assigned to Smart Select which cycles through the selection modes. Go to Customize User Interface and switch 'Q' from Smart Select to Select Object.
