Work in progress. Looking for c&c in all aspects. Texture is obviously very primitive, I am currently working hard to improve my texturing skills. I haven't taken this into Zbrush at all yet but had originally intended to do so.
Im happy to post the unwrap when I get home, but the truth is it's hardly anything right now. The texture is definitely a work in progress and I've actually gone back to the drawing board to rework some of the base mesh before even worrying about the materials again
no, actually the ancient greeks got most of their culture from the french. I believe it was Baron Pierre van Douchenbergh who actually traveled to greece around 300 B.C and introduced the ancients to french attire.
I'd go back and rethink the wings somewhat. Humans aren't really built for flight. we're heavy with dense bones and a long, heavy limbs. Those dinky little wings might be enough to get a bird off the ground but aren't likely to get Icarus close enough to Helios to melt them.
You might also like to look at the structure a bit. A bird's wing reference for bones and feather layout will help here. You could also have a look at Da Vinci's various gliders.

I'm thinking I'll drop the whole feathers idea.
