eh, the haul wasn't too difficult. i don't live that far from the postal office, i just put the box on top of the bike, it fit perfectly on top of the steering handle and seat, and walked home.
was pretty soaked when i got home though, but meh, cintiq!.
installation wasn't painfree, but now that its installed... holy shit, drawing on computer is fun again! finally time to retire my 6 year old intuos 2.
I have my cintiq straight up, too. Works more like an easel or drawing board. More of how I'm used to. When I used my big intuos, I'd have it propped up in my lap like a drawing board, too.
Congrats on the purchase!
I personally find that the screen sits way too high and too deep on the desk when used with the default stand. The stand itself has fantastic features ... but still does not cut it in my opinion.
Also you might be interested in a L-desk in the future. Adjusting the screen position so that it sits across the corner will give you good a natural resting surface for your arms (instead of having them hanging in the air while painting)

i hear ya, those front support legs could've been at least 5cm shorter.
I got the 12 inch cintiq. It's great but I wish I had the screen resolution of the 21. I also have two 24 inch monitors so my 12 cintiq looks extra small. Are you using another monitor? If so, how does it feel to switch between the two?

switching between the 2 isn't a problem. i got the mouse under my #2 monitor.
although i'm having some weird issues with flickering as soon as i enter windows.
the second screen will turn itself on and off about 5-10 times before it settles.
could be a future problem waiting to happend, but for now its fine.
£2000, now theres a figure Ive never seen in my bank, never mind in front on me. Does look cool though, think ill stick with my bamboo for the moment though lol.

Grats though.

the lighting is poor.
congrats anyway, hopefully you weren't too exhausted when you got back
and what mar said.. they dont deliver.. wtf..
how is it working in that position btw? seems to me it may be a bit uncomfortable
yeah i'm still toying with the ergonomics. overall its incredibly awesome. i love it to bits only wish there was more modifier buttons on eithe side.

I recently got one of these at work too, I'm really loving it. One day I'll probably be getting one for myself too , it's probably a good investment.
lol
I have mine propped up the same way, it's tough sometimes after a while and a bit tiresome for sure.
Only thing i didn't like about it so much is the lack of true sharpness in color or the light, but it's awesome!
Have fun for sure!

Most of the artists I know working on one have it mounted on one of these guys :

It's just a monitor you draw on.. it hooks up to your computer.
HAHAHAHAHHA....
I got a bamboo fun 6x9 (methinks) a week or two ago.

haven't tried that, although it seemed to register both tablets in the driver. intuos and cintiq uses the same driver.
I like to add only if you have a Intuos 3. I tried to do that with a Intuos 2 tablet, and it caused the drivers to fail.
