vista keeps showing keys pressed

I get these icons coming up saying "shift" or "Ctrl" or "Alt" when I do anything after using the tablet. its really annoying but I cant seem to find any way to turn this stupid "feature" off. I assumed it was part of tabletpc for windows so I removed that but the problem is still there and its getting in the way of me seeing whats going on.

hmm sticky keys are definitely off Im installing windowstabletpc all over again and then unistalling it again because the windows processes say Im still running wisptis.exe which is the windows tablet pc application that should be uninstalled already grrrr microsoft

There is tablet PC input panel software that can pop up too that enables things like that. I think you disable it in the control panel/pen input devices or some such place.

no sticky keys, it's tablet stuff.
Go to control panel, there's something called program and features. In there you can install or uninstall windows options too. Uninstall everything that has tablet or ink in it's name - basically leaving only Wacom in charge.

It might come back after some later Windows update tho.

I think its gone! yay! thanks guys you rock I think it may have been the sticky keys after all I just needed to restart my pc after changing their settings. By default it seems microsoft sets them to come on after holding shift for 8 seconds

hmm it seems to have come back now...there was a windows update, so now what do I do?
I hate having "alt" written in the middle of my model when Im rotating around it! lol

Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off (Left menu) > Uncheck "Tablet PC Options Components".

Might take it a while and will probably need to restart. But that should take care of it and it should also remove the goofy tablet PC keyboard on the log in screen.

hmm I removed windows tablet pc components almost straight after I installed windows 6 months ago so windows says that I dont have any tablet components installed and only the wacom drivers but I still get this nonsense with key presses hovering over my work.

ok I think Ive gotten rid of the problem but Im not sure how, I installed windows tablet pc components again and went to this tab and turned it all off and now theres no key press information.
