Mimicing Art style (Team fortress 2 based)

hello all,

Im currently working on a project in pimping and previews thats taking alot of my time I want to spend maybe a break after that and work on a quick character in which I want to create a teamfortress style character


(I plan on keeping the character secret till I start it :) )

anywho my question being

the process of creating the silloueet is the most important thing I noticed in the TF2 Style.

What sort of advice or ideas is best given if I want to do something similar. Ive done toony before but never really something in sillouettes designs of something so easily recognizable

(another artistic trait im trying to aquire)

Any sort of direction or help is appreciated :)
