DOTA anyone?

A friend of mine is one of the owners of S2 games...and they have been working on a game that is pretty much an exact replica of dota, but standalone. I have some beta keys for any of you kids who actually played DOTA? Would be good to have some more sensible players!

I still play DOTA to this day, only on wc3 though not tft. Love the game so much. I always wondered if anyone would make a DOTA game seen as it was such a big hit, kinder buzzing someone is.

I know I'm still new here, but if there's any spare I would love to try the beta, im definatly a hardcore dota player and would even make love to you for a beta key lol. Cheers.

Got a HoN beta key somewhere else, was digging the updated interface, graphics, etc, but cannot stand the community. Last game I played I got to hear one person call everyone fags and the other one just repeat "shut the fuck up" every 2 minutes even when no one is making any noise.

I don't know what it is about this game that attracts the worst playerbase.

Got a key from a friend and... this game is sick. With balancing to iron out some imbalanced characters it'll be a total blast, with a lot more potential than DoTA. As is it's still fun as hell, although there are some skill oddities that can end up killing you in seconds, especially when playing against Jereziah, who is a motherfucker of the highest degree.

And the community seems fine actually, better than b.net in any case. Better by a LOT. I haven't been called a noob by any rage-quitting idiots yet at least.

Well, currently most of those items heros and strategies are directly ripped out of DOTA.

I've been saying someone should just take DOtA and make it a game, because War3 is getting a bit dated.

Would love a key as soon as internet at home gets hooked up(thursday?); I was a serious pain in the ass kel'thuzad to the point where I think he might have been a noob class, but whatever, strength in numbers is what I say.

I've been playing HON for a few weeks now. Its really fun and enjoyable.. more so when your on a team that knows what they are doing. The graphics are 'tight' and fairly smooth gameplay. Definitely a game to check out

Jesus, I have to say this game is probably the most demoralizing experiance I've had this year.

I've played Dota before and did pretty well, but I didn't live and breath it, so I don't really know every hero that seems to be the Dota counterpart, I see spells that remind of of heros and items that sound like things I used to get, but I'm totally lost in this one.

Too many items, too many numbers and abreviations that I have no clue what the mean, even the load screen actualyl numbers who loads first, second, third, etc... to make you feel like crap for having a crap computer.

I understand its for the Dota hardcore, but tried a few games and only had people yell at me for doing something wrong, which I have no idea what that was or just continually die from something in a split second, again no idea how someone the same level as me could do that.

So yeah, it's Dota, but I think Dota was a lot more kind to me then this, hehehe, community seems to be full of pricks too.

I scored a key for HoN about three weeks ago, but haven't bothered with it so far. Downloading the beta client now to see what the fuss is about. Never played DotA, so will be a new experience for me.

Murdoc, there are quite alot of assholes in the game, and it has quite a learningcurve, I know, since I never played dota :P
