I'm sure you guys dont care about the introductions so...
the plan is to build a robot in a vaguely 1930-50's style with the end goal of having him 3D Printed with these guys

Awesome GoodlucK! They all look really top heavy, this is from their site.
"
1. Ensure your model can support itself.
We are now crossing over into the real world. Unlike the virtual world that exists in your computer, we now have to abide by the laws of
physics. Please ensure that your model will be able to support itself when standing upright. Not only do we want the model to be able to stand
on it's own, but we also need to get it to you undamaged."
thanks man, yeah i know they are top heavy, what i have here is for visuals and theme when i get to building it im going to make sure he can stand up so no worries ;P also im within driving distance of the place im getting it printed at so i can go pick it up
they are all pimp though
Btw your already at 10 sevens!
not really digging 7 as much, i kinda like the character in the 8-12 range more
any chance for more than 1? these all rock
thanks for the site mate! most helpful
well 68 if count all of Firebert's post:)
you guys seem to like 7 alot... the guys at game artisans seem to have a soft spot for 9
honestly I'd like 2 or 3 but not only would I have to build them all and I'ts gonna cost me like $300 a pop
As always C&C are VERY welcome
just playing with shapes and I'm really not sure about the head and the legs aren't even started so... (ellipses)
but more importantly I also got the arms pretty much done
anyway as always C&C is totally welcome (please hate my stuff I need to get better ) and updates should be coming a little faster (hopefully)
Just thinkin out for ya.
I have been thinking about that actually. I'm thinking I'll probably thicken those up a bit, also I can build it in such a way that I can insert a metal pin into it, should take care of any structural problems.... I hope.
Very Iron Gianty in the skull region.
Are they going to print a little gun for him too? I dont know if you were planning to add it all as one mesh with a pose or have the hand open to place a blaster in, but gun number 2 is full of win.
