I figure theres a bunch of people here using spotify, so I thought it'd be a good idea to start a collab playlist for PC.
If you don't know what spotify is, the chances are pretty damn slim that its available in your country, but if you STILL want to know wth spotify is, go to: http://www.spotify.com
what kind off music will be added? Anything? Because that never works out, everyone will be adding different genres resulting in noone actually listening to the playlist . Thats what always happens when we start playlists at work at least!
Basically spotify is a legal peer to peer program with them hosting a huge library of music, you can search for almost every artist and start playing whatever music you want instantly (i have over 20 playlists that is saved to my profile) the only downside is every half hour or so there is some commercials unless you pay for the service. its sweet like the future is here now.
People get to invite people if you pay for a month without commercials the invites are limited though.
im checking on the electronica playlist thanks! uh and someone tell me if im wrong, im just not 100% about the program, all i know really is that it works :P
Seems pretty dope but it isn't available in the US.
www.pandora.com handles all my music needs at work. I have maybe a dozen stations that I frequent, in different genres (ambient/downtempo, general hip-hop, hyphy, hard rock, metal, 90s alt, punk, and then one great station that has all of them mashed together and gives me very interesting suggestions). I could not imagine working without streaming radio of some sort, and pandora is totally awesome for the variety.
Out of all the free music services out there (pandora, last.fm, favtape etc) that i have tried Spotify is just sooo superior. Hopefully it will be going worldwide after a while.
ok if thats the case ill give it another go, last fm, just seamed so much better for my taste in music, although ive heard that the other way round too
Spotify is the don diddly don of music apps. Although cos im in canada now i have to get my english friends to keep logging me in every 14 days. A minor inconvenience though.

Apparently I need an invitation token to participate?
