Hello all. It's the guy who doesn't talk very much :P
Since I was last here I showed some of my zbrush WIP'S and tests. I've improved greatly in max too. Inluding the tricky "Sub division" modelling method -which I plan to model these props with.
I've come to ask you which one you like best and would like to develop more?
I will then post the WIP's of the model process. I am planning for this too be a pretty long project to get thing's right. I'm an autodictact but self motivation when it comes to modelling is a problem with me - I can only model for a purpose and when using refrence : P

Chaos - My suggestion would be to spend a little more time on identifying the similarities and construction style of the weapon class you would like to make. There should be some obvious differences - and I'm always in favor of seeing people expand on an already existent style with their own ideas of how it could be improved, so it would be cool to see what you can come up with.

Your silhouettes are kind of interesting, but making them very angular like that doesn't make it "Halo" necessarily. I know there are alot of 45 angles or other increments, but it really depends on who the weapon is for like others said.
It's cool that your trying to come up with pretty original designs in a sense, but right now they seem a little random. Really think about how it would be used, and how it would fit on someones back or whatever, and be reloaded, ect.

Not too detailed, but might give a good place to start comparing shapes to help figure out the human/covenant design structures.
