Hey guys,
I've been doing a lot of concepting in Photoshop/Maya lately and thought it'd make a nice change of pace to do some sculpting at home. I've been working on this bust for the past few evenings. I've really enjoyed sculpting something in a pose as the characters I do for games are generally in a neutral stance. This guy is still WIP - I need to tidy up the cloth and do a few bits here and there. I may add his shirt below the bottom of his waistcoat to cap the underneath and maybe some smoke/bubbling liquid coming out of the conical flask. It'd be awesome to get something like this 3d printed...
Anyway, I hope you guys like it:

well done, very well done

i demand you make a turntable for zbrush now!!
MORE!
awesome work dude.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
I'd like to see a little more of the original character in the demon side of the face though, maybe just the mustache or something. The sculpting on that side just works so well and has a coherent style that i'd like to see carried over, even if just a bit to the other side.
Maybe he pulled his beard out on that side and there's a big scar where it used to be?[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pbfs2lYM2sQ"][/ame]
Thanks again, everybody!
Cheers, Nick.
Keep it up,
Atilla
I really have to stretch to suggest anything at this point, other than general cleanup.
But I do think you could push that hand holding the vial even further towards the demon direction on the side that we see from the demon angle, everything else about that shot just screams hyde, it's totally kick ass. Maybe even add more spillage from the vial running down all the way down to the bottem.
I'd totally buy a 3D print of that.
crazyfingers: I will definitely make a few more tweaks and clean up the sculpting. Thanks again for your input.
I've uploaded an updated version of the turntable vid here:
