this morning i got a random flyer through my letterbox for some kind of training facility called train2game (
www.train2game.com). i didn't really know what to think, it looks so budget and the website looks like its filled with images just off the internet. i guess its just a few guys trying to cash in on youth wanting to get into some area of gaming. they say they are associated with DR studios who i never heard of till today and apparently "Train2Game is part of the UK’s most successful and one of Europe’s largest distance learning colleges."
what u think,? anyone else get the flyer? do you think this people even have any licenses for the software they are using?i live in woodgreen in london so more of a question for UK people

"We all need to learn how to walk before we can run. First we look at games using a game-making tool to get us started quickly. After learning valuable gaming techniques, we take a close look at the fundamentals of writing code. By the end of this stage you will have learned enough to write simple programs for yourself. Later lessons hone these vital skills using gaming techniques which we should already be familiar with from the very first part."
"Game Designers Are Visionaries
“So, if I'm not a programmer, if I can't draw and don't know anything about 3D modeling and if I can't write the music, what can I do?”. The answer is: you create! You are the source that gives all other team members the bases to the process of creating a game."
this one is my fav :
"Consider the following example: you want your game to have a unicorn. You create the unicorn and picture it in glorious magical beauty, running through an enchanted forest. You give your concept to the artists, saying: “I want a unicorn in the game”). When they come up with a sketch, the unicorn is not the horse-like creature of white light you envisioned, but an elephant-like creature with tusks and wings. And by the time the programmers get the model, they make it fly across the skies. When this gets back to you, you start to wonder where did your unicorn-in-the-forest go. As a Game Designer it's your responsibility to create the unicorn, say how it moves through the forest, sea or air and make sure it doesn't end up being an elephant or an aircraft."
This is what it looks like when you successfully tighten up the graphics.
I also like how the chick on the main page has some serious man face and sausage fingers going on. Along with the top of her socks/boots being flesh colored that screams quality workmanship.
"Get Back to WOrk modeling those crates!"
Did a little google search and it came back with a few forums discussing it, with people saying they send round representatives who try and get you to sign there and then on the first meeting. Also if you don't have the funds then they will set up a finance package for the payments as well for you.
My worry is that this program is Tiga certified, and these people claim to represent the UK industry.
Yeah...more like Tranny2Game
Seeing this stuff bums me out. Knowing how much money they sucker out of people to become "idea men."
