Hey guys here is what I been working on lately

Its inspired by Liam Sharps recreation of Conan, I still want to add some more accessories and a cool sword of Crom




and an undead version

Its sitting pretty low at 5300 tri but plan on adding another 2000 easily.

anyways crits and comments are most welcome...I also been messing with the marmoset engine but haven't acquired the desired results, is there any tutorials out there?

if you can, i'd add some thickness to dude's fur speedo. what's the back look like? is it a thong? ;p

eyes look wonky.
and that medallion looks like its been imprinted into conans skull.

his skin looks reeeeeally shiney. maybey drop the spec on it, or add some noise.

A key light would help too. right now he looks purple

Lol @ KP: yeah dude its totally a man thong in the backside,

Dejawolf: yeah I definitely need to soften that imprint on the medallion

Nattheartist: about the shininess, the spec map is pretty early on right now I have to go in there and tweak it good to make it look its best.

In my opinion, the eyes look a bit "dark"... if you can either brighten them up a bit or something, it may give a bit more life to the character, but overall I really like it man. (talking about pupils)

And for the rest of you... I'm pretty sure we are all wishing that he has a man thong on, don't deny it!

Ya,you could get rid of that purple shiny skin and work a bit more on a realistic skin and get him rendered with good light setup,probably a strong key light will add a more mood to this.

Hmm, lots of good work here, but overall I think it lacks appeal. Some crits I'll make right off the bat, his left bicep does not match the more correct shape of his right (weighting?), his forehead seems too tall with his hair as flat as it is, his collar bone is too defined (big guy's pecs totally cover the underside except at the hollow where they meet the anterior delt) and lastly, his large head makes him look like a small guy. All pretty minor tweaks and he could kick ass.
