ok first the heats now mudbox1 is busted

as the title said i have win xp 64 bit , everything runs fast etc except mudbox 1 wich clogs at 200 000 polys and gets impossible to work on , has anyone have trouble with mud1 in 64 bits ? i also tried changing graphic card drivers etc but so far no good , its really frustrating :(t

tried all the updates? , there were some serious buggy releases in the past but in most cases they fixed it afterwards via some hotfixes.
You might also install the latest drivers available for your GFXcard - mudbox is very sensitive in regards of that.

I used mudbox 1.07 in Vista 64 and as fast and stable as with XP 32bits. No problems here with 64 bits.

i still use mb1.07 in xp64 and it works pretty well for me, just at the usual 800k+ mark viewport movement becomes chuggy but sculpting is still like carving into butter
perhaps a reinstall might be the ticket, or clearing out the preferences

ok i have the latest drivers , and have mudbox 1.0.7 , at 180 000 polys its perfect no chugginess etc, if i subdivide again then the program goes nutbatshit , anyway heres the screenshot with the memory used :




i dont get it i will reinstall mud to see if it fixes anything....

yeah i also have mud 2009 , and it rocks , i just need mud 1 incase clients require highpoly files in mud1

ok i gave up on trying to us mud 1 , so im using 2009 , its a drag but oh well...anyway now i have a new problem , it seems that even after installing and updating the drivers, my wacom looses its pressure sensitivity and sculpting and painting is just like using the mouse, and thats very annoying , i have the drivers, and the wacom pluged, why the hell is this happening ?

Do you still have pressure in photoshawp? if you do, it could be a problem with mudbox itself and not the drivers.

Have you tried stopping/restarting the tablet service when shit happens?

yeah did those both and it happens sporadically once it works, another start it doesnt, i dunno what going on , in photoshop works perfectly so i guess its a mud problem like you said , its really annoying

P.S - i still think doakes is the muthufucking badass.
