I felt sorry for him in these last few years. Health problems combined with a wife that ran him into bankruptcy. I know it was partially his fault, but still hated to see so much pile up on a man at once. Anyway, so long Ed... RIP
lol, I must be getting too old if I'm the only person that knows about Ed McMahon's career.
Yeah, he hosted Star Search. He also was on the Tonight Show, he did a lot with Publishers Clearing House, and more recently, he did a Superbowl commercial for CashForGold.com.
Oh, and he co-hosted TVs Bloopers and Practical Jokes back in the day
Always sad to see someone go. Especially someone so iconic. I'm glad he lived a long full life. I had no idea he was wracked with financial problems and health problems. Hopefully his long running career will speak louder then those issues...
A coworker just told me about this... and my first thought was, damn, someone predicted that just the other day I knew she was on the ropes with her cancer, but I thought she would be one of the celebs that finds the miracle cure because of experimental treatments.
