Something I started working on recently.. still a ways to go to finish blocking in the forms and then do a detail pass. Not supposed to be a real bike, but I'm pulling some major forms from a few different bikes - I'm thinking about going more in the techy way of my high poly techMallet and 3 barrel shotgun I did over Christmas in a few areas on the bike to spice it up..

The one problem I see it that the bike looks impractical with that large black box thing between the seat and the handle bars. I dont see how a person would be able to sit on the bike and lean down to grab the handle bars. The rest of the forms of the bike look great and it has the look of speed and flowing.

#0 the front part seems a bit to long (side view)
#1 the bike is quite fat (front view), and usually the windshield area is the widest part of a bike, as it covers you.
#2 the windshield is way to low and long, there's no way you put your head down there xD
#3 like Autocon said, the tank is a bit bulky. They usualy have somekind of "notch" for the legs
apart from that, with the current front fender, I think it has the look of an evil duck!
I've seen some bikes that have a pretty big front hump (fuel tank?) but I agree it looks a bit hard to lean on. Lookin forward to seein more
That is a rear sprocket with no chain and it sticks out a mile (about 6inches too far on relative scale) but the rest of the bike looks fantastic so far. Only other thing I would change is probably a bit smother tank.
yes yes please!
However I feel like I have to nag about a few things...(bike fanatic )
#1 the windshield is ways to low and to long. Only a midget could ride that bike.
#2 in the front view, the bike appears quite fat. It could still work as you have enough legroom, but looks quite weird. Fast bikes are usually pretty wide in the windshield area, as thats the part that covers your body against the airstream.
#3 agreed with AnimeAngel, that sticks out a bit far
#4 as already said, the tank is quite bulky.
Personally, I dont like the front fender + lights, they make it look like an angry duck.
I`ve sort of become a presentation Nazi since dom war- You might want to try a different background on the color renders as the black material blends into the background too much and it all you can see is blue and spec highlights.
/end minor gripe.
its ugly. you should try something more conventional
The front fender piece won't allow room for the front forks to absorb shock. Likely, in a heavy braking situation, the tire would catch on the body, sending the whole vehicle into a front flip.
The rear gear is very far away from the bike. Leaving the chain very exposed, and at an angle from the bikes engine. I would not want to lean in that direction.
If it were possible to lean forward comfortably, I'm sure the riders head would be resting on top of the windshield. It is too long, and too far back.
This bike doesn't appear to have a chassis. Study up on the layout of "naked" bike chassis. Sport bikes are simply naked bikes, with fairings.
This gas tank is not designed to allow the rider to lean forward, and doesn't appear to be well connected to the chassis at all. The pushed back positioning, hard angles, and flat top would have it smashing into someone's stomach and chest. The goal of motorcycle design is to keep the bike designed for rider comfort and support, as well as keeping the center of gravity and centered, and low as possible. The rider's body should fit comfortably around the shapes, for safety.
yeah it doesn't look like there's any room for the suspension to move up and down at all, and honestly i think the integrated front fender doesn't really look too hot.
the headlight design as well as the side fairing holes and cuts look somewhat dated (like from an old kawasaki) and also a bit out of place and not super functional.
if you don't want this to be a real bike then go crazier on the shapes and really make it look the bizness, but if you want it to look functional then definitely look into some of this stuff.
I actually like the shapes of the front light insets for now, but I'll see as I put actual lights in there what it looks like. They might change, along with the front fender.. I'll see as the forms get more blocked in and tweaked. I scaled a few pieces to make it wider because I liked the beefiness, just me I guess.
Sandbag - Thanks dude, yeah I have a lot more pieces to add in but I'll probably tweak that tank a bit.
Konstruct - I'll definitely try some different backgrounds to pop those renders as I move further along, I was thinking just for more finals do put it in a gray room like the GXP renders to help pop the materials.
This is still very WIP, I guess making nicer renders probably confused a few people.. Thanks for the feedback though, there's some useful stuff I'll change up but some of it I'm going to keep and move forward with to see what I end up with.
Just a few adjustments. I'll be making more and hopefully some bigger updates in the next few days.
RazorBladder - Thanks man!
