yeah zbrush just came out with one called decimate. also there is one called pro optimizer which is poly crunch but integrated into the new max 2010. hope that helps
Yea, it is, but its aimed at preserving the sculpted detail, its not meant to create low poly optimized meshes. It just makes crazy insane models easier to handle inside of other apps.
Hmm, although, he's right - Decimation Master may actually be what you want.
Depends if you're doing your sculpt in ZBrush or Mudbox (I don't have the tutorial so I don't know what application it was in).
If Mudbox, then you will have to get Meshlab as I don't think Mudbox has built-in decimation.
If ZBrush, go to ZBrushCentral or Pixologic site and download the Decimation Master plugin, it's excellent and means you don't have to go between a separate app and export OBJ twice. Just decimate in ZB and export the optimised mesh.
