Is it any good? Currently using Butcher's LCSM plugin, but it has some quirks. XRay is only a fiver and looks like it produces good results (though I realize that the mesh they're showing it off with is not all that complex).

the workflow is more or less identical to my free version.
nevertheless having both LSCM and ABF at hand might be nice.

I highly assume that with the next max releases the UV editor will be redesigned with better performance and multiple unwrap algorithm types to choose from.
It's only 5 euros so not really a bad bargain... Looking at the video tutorials it looks really fast and practical too. I might even try it out.
MOP- you could write/modified the script that duplicates the mesh then copys the attributes back over once its been imported, magic no data loss, pity max cant do this
