Video looks awesome. Genre sounds.... meh. Action RPG? So I stand in front of an ork and click the mouse button over and over as I perform the same attack for -234 hp about 20 times, and then move on to the next ork? I play games like TF2. I want that kind of action. Diablo and it's ilk should be a thing of the past. Hopefully I will be proven wrong and this game will let me run around and bash and shoot things with glee.

Shit I dunno man. From the looks of it it looks like it'd play a lot more like a dynasty warriors/99 nights style game where they really ramp up the action by bum rushing you with hundreds of fodder enemies at once. I'm definitely a fan of those types of games and either way that was one awwesome trailer.
Oh. My. God. Do want! Relic has always been on top of my list of "cool studios to work at" and this trailer just poured a few hundred litres of concrete on top of that statement.
Must say that I like the imperial guard more though
WIN! very WIN! Homeworld still holds up quite well today, so a new one would probably blow my mind! This looks very sexy, just hope its as fun as it looks.
nice, but does it still have "cinemaction" moments.....or "gun and run" gameplay. haha, those relic folks seem to know their warhammer thats for sure.
really? because the Ultramarine chapter are extremely AGAINST being called Angels of Death, which are, collectively, the Blood Angels, and Dark Angels chapters.
not least of which because the Ultramarines follow the Codex Astartes religiously, while the other two chapters break off from it quite heavily.
It kind of looked liked they smashed two games together? All of it looked real-time but not from the same game, I wonder if they'll have two modes, like a FPS pov for getting missions, but once you deploy it will be 3rd person DoW style?

wow that does look pretty awesome.
if the gameplay looks like I expect the way the trailer showed (basically diablo+dynasty warriors) I'm all over that shit
wow, i don't have any outstanding love for mythic due to current events.. but you are fastly becoming polycounts number one resident bitch.
on the subject if the game play is anything like the trailer makes out.. i'm there.
for exercising my right to express an opinion? that's a bit harsh. there's been far worse said about other people, i mean, the people themselves. i commented on a COMPANY, and their practice.
if you feel the need to insult me, because it makes you feel better, go for it. but the fact is, WAR raped the lore badly, with no real reason. the team were pushed into creating an expansion when the current game doesn't even work right. the special characters from the lore don't have their own unique models or textures (barring karl franz, tcharzanek, malekith, and the orc boss), the animations don't loop properly for some classes, the animations also get frozen at certain keyframes, the "endgame" was beaten 6 months after release, the city instances are also bugged, and lags to hell (buy new servers, cheapasses). the game was touted to support "Massive rvr battles", "hundreds of players duking it out", and we have crashes on the servers whenever 4 or more warbands decide to go at it.
that's just the CONCEPT flaws, and only a few of them at that. THEN you get blanket nerfs and buffs, instead of career by career changes, they decide they'll change the entire mechanic of how hit and damage actually works, at the same time as introducing a huge buff/nerf. all the while ignoring please of "fuck land of the dead, fix what we've got". seriously, i was there at the IRC dev chat they did. whenever anyone mentioned the current state of the game, the response was "wait for land of the dead". which nobody who plays at the moment cares about.
WAR was something so many people were looking forward to, and so many games workshop fans wanted to love. but that's just gone.
i COMPLETELY understand the argument of "you can't please everyone", but at the moment, they please nobody.
after seeing the artistic ability of people like Xenobond, and then seeing games like Aeon, the upcoming Champions, and The Old Republic. even WAR's art is a pile. seriously, Xenobond and the othrs are capable of soooo much more, and the only reason i can think that the game looks how it is, is because somebody said "hey lets save money".
THAT's why i stopped playing, and probably won't be going back. roll on champions and the old republic. games made by other polycounters, who work for a company that give a crap.
Hahaha this thread could easily turn into one to rival the one with the norwegian guy who has only ever fucked a hooker and will probably go on a shooting rampage in his town.
But this time it'll feature spotty fat nerds.
For what its worth, I'm retarded at 'RTS' type games, but the gameplay and animation looks kick-ass in this. Might bring back orcs into popularity (oh god) :P
almighty_gir - I'm sure you know how things are going down here at Mythic but maybe you should think twice before trying to derail a thread. This is the second time this week.

changed my mind, my shooting rampage will be in your town.
reading the forums you know, retard.
as for space marines, it looks pretty meh. not enough violence, and too linear.
TF2 owns it.

hardly, same IP, two different companies, both incapable, or unwilling, to follow the lore?
like i said though, the game looks good from a play standpoint, though did anyone else notice they kept spamming that same hammer move over and over? i hope that's not something i have to rely on. give me a powerfist anyday!
graphically, it's nothing that breaks the mould, but it does look good. and as previously mentioned, they should have chosen a more interesting marine chapter, and at least made new orks.

No.
Game looks fun. Hope there are some cool skill trees and hordes of enemies.
Must say that I like the imperial guard more though
Hope you mow down thousands of orcs at a time just like in IRL 40K!!! Best announcement in a long time for me!
cant wait.

never said they know nothing, but my previous experience of relic games is that they don't know a lot.
not to say it won't be a good game. at all! i'm quite excited about it.
If anything, I'm just annoyed they chose Ultramarines. Their so... generic. Thats compared to chapters such as the Space Wolves, Blood Angels etc.
Awesome editing and great fx.

doesn't mean it's right. hell, you guys raped warhammer in your mmo.
but some of the other guys here have it right, more interesting marine chapter + better orc models would be nice.
*cough*
