I agree not cool to represent it as his own tutorial, but it looks like he's a victim of using wordpress which gets crawled all the time. It shows up as 3rd in search results for TF2 Unreal Shader. He might not mean for it to be public tho...
i have no problem with someone spreading the words, i meanm my tutorial is based on valve stuff and not everything is correct (specular term) but giving proper credit is the least thing id like to see if im not informed that someone is taking my stuff
I wasn´t serious Neox. Guess it didn´t come through. Sorry´s!
But since he hasn´t actually linked to it anywhere on his page that I can see I´d like to assume that it´s just something for his own use or WIP but yes. He should give credit.
and about it beeing on his server last week you could get to it, he had two sections on his site Photoshop Tutorials which was empty and Unreal Tutorials
anyone knows somene at realtimeworlds in scotland? a friend of mine i there in near future but someone from the inside could ask him more directly then a guy whos there for an interview ^^

The british consulate has finally gotten in touch with me. Theyll need the original passport and a photo and then im off to Scotland. I kind of cant wait. There was too long of a delay and im ready to start now and sitting around is making me very hyper. I will be moving to Dundee to work @ Realtime Worlds on their newest upcoming title: All Points Bulletin (APB). I cant wait. I know this game will be award winning.
you should test this guy... ask him stuff that you'd only know if you actually did the tutorial yourself... test his knowledge on the subject matter ... be an ass. :poly128:
im gonna throw in a little level headedness to the thread, try to find out if he did it deliberately before ruining the guys job . sometimes people are just a bit naive, but not malicious
i asked some mates at the studio and he doesnt seem to have started yet.
Im sure there is nothing dodgy going on, but a good idea to give the guy a headsup before he goes and makes it public. Wev all seen the firestorm that can stir up from little omissions like this..
Yeah, I don't think this is the same as stealing someone's art or something, but at the same time, he has it uploaded to the tutorial section on his site; it's not like it's still on his HDD or something. It's VERY easy to at least add the text "this isn't my tutorial" at the top of the page, even if it's just temporary.
I dont know why people are saying he dosnt have it actually linked anywhere on his site. I totally see it linked there. Hover your mouse over Tutorials then over Unreal Engine and then Team Fortress 2 Shader pops up. Click on that and your at Neox's stolen tut.
If you just click Tutorials nothing comes up, but if you hover your mouse for a second dialog boxes pop up.

he changed it, it worked a few days back didn't work this morning and now the layout is changed and it works again
Ok hunting season is over, Frank just contacted me, he found it on stumbleupon without credits, its not the finest way to publish stuff but he contacted me and will add the credits, so guys put your forks and knives back in the shelves and thanks for the support
Wow, You wernt kidding Steffen. But eh, all is well now.. There was just a misconception. I wouldnt steal material but at the same time, i loved the tutorial and figured it would be useful. As i have said to Steffan, I never claimed the tutorial as my own (thats why i never said "By Me" or whatever) It didnt have have credits on it, what was i to do?
The only reason i ended up finding out about this was because i looked at the traffic logs of my website haha.. Once i saw the thread, i got in contact with him and we talked=) Hes now credited and hes got a link on my site.
JohnnyRaptor,
No need to be prickish. You cant make assumptions without knowing the details.

'My name is Steffen Unger, You killed my Tutorial, Prepare to Die!'
No but seriously, the guy is a wanker. Nobody puts images up like that on the internet for their own use, I mean cmon. Not even a mention of Neox.
What a wanker.
Maybe you can meet him online for battle!
