Surprisingly fun, fut also surprisingly crackdown with a lightning skin.
I didn't have enough time to study the world clearly, but something felt 'off' and cartoony to me. I'm not sure if it's proportions or textures that's doing it though. Each individual prop looks realistic for the most part... but as a whole something isn't quite on the realism.
Demo was a blast but by the end of it I already felt like I was kind of done with those skills. My main concern with these open world games is always "what's going to stop me from getting bored 3 hours in?" and that's the only thing the demo didn't address
Also I thought it was really weird that it made me into a really evil dude... and then gave me a mission protecting medical supplies. WTF is the point of being evil, then?
This, and uncharted 2 make me want a ps3. I know a few of my friends are waiting for a price drop before they pick one up, I guess I'm in the same boat.
I played through the Infamous demo about 4 times now, that was alot of fun! I wasn't really following the game so I was really surprised by the parkour element, it felt better than Assassin's Creed.
At one point when my karma was set to hero, a group of pedestrians started stoning one of the reapers, I thought that was a cool touch.
I was on the fence about trying it but I'm glad I did.
played through the demo over three times now. the mechanics just feel really really good. running, shooting, and especially climbing shit! it's really well done.
the only thing I'm not really a fan of is the fact that you seem to die in 1-2 hits.
I though that was the most overrated PoS I'd ever played.
Funny enough, Crackdown was one of the most underrated I'd played and I thought that had far better parkour than AssCreed
Ungh I thought crackdown was terrible and Asscreed had the best climbing mechanics of the decade. It had other problems, but looks and locomotion certainly weren't it.
I gave it a spin this afternoon on my sister's ps3 (still gaming on pc), the comic intro cutscene is really nice!
The gameplay is decent, not a buy for me though for some reason it's difficult jumping/climbing from one object to another.
The fx are cool, nice touch when the camera gets really close and he goes electric toon outlines.

It'd be awesome if it came to 360

Still, after that demo I think I might buy it.

visually, i am unwowed... seriously, why do all games have way too sharp highlights on specularity? and why can't any games run in 1080p?
ffs....
