*incoming quasi-blog post*
So I've felt pretty inactive around here the past couple of weeks, but for good reason!
After being together for over 6 years Gail and I are finally about to tie the knot! Hizzah!
Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked. Nervous.
Stressed. Happy. But above all else.. excited.
It's been a long time coming, and we're both elated at the idea that in 12 days we'll be
husband & wife.
So, my soon-to-be-fellow black & green husbands, what's to expect? :P After over 6 years
of being together we suspect not much, but ya never know!
Oh!
And I started a new job
My first day as an artist at Relic Entertainment was today, and
it was
awesome. One thing I find that makes my professional life easier is a seemless art
pipeline and by golly.. its pretty fluid. Not a lot of hurdles to jump over to get art in the
game.
Niiiiice.
So ya. Inactivity on my part. I still browse every day, but haven't been posting as much or
handling other Polycount-related things lately as I am trying to destress before the big day
all while handling a new job. It'll likely be June 1 that I am able to get back to things, so
please take note that all the suggestions you've guys have made are being noted and some
of it will be addressed by the other fellas running the show behind the scenes.
On that note: Jesse, EQ, MoP and casey - awesome job handling the War this year. Your
help has been amazing. Thanks fellas

congratulations adam
me is happy for you!
edit// and a new job! another congrats for you mister!
In regards to your question about the relationship changing... believe it or not... it will, but in very positive ways you won't expect. I dated my wife for about 5 years and we're going on 4 years of marriage, and looking back... it is totally different. It really all depends on what stage in each others lives you are at right now... like my wife and I lived together in an apartment for about a year and a half before we got married. Then we stayed there for another year before getting a house. Now we have a kid, so it is just slow changes that are really great. Then there's other things that change. Your credit is her credit... uhhhhh ohhhhhhhh.... hehehehehehe.
Have a great wedding and an awesome honeymoon! We went down to this secluded place in Florida for ours, and it *cough*cough* rained the entire time...*cough* so it was quite enjoyable actually
noooow you will know the meaning of pain !
hahaha
So anyways. Congrats on the new job and the getting married.
Life is good.
Don't go to bed angry. Srsly, suck it up and apologize.
The next big step: kids ^^
PD: that tree from the photo, has an eye?
congrats yo.
That's awesome news!
I personally recommend spending more time and money planning your honeymoon then on your wedding.
I know you mean well, but that crap always bugged me:
Q: "When you having kids?"
A: "When you fly to china and kidnap little May Ling and smuggle her back in a suitcase. Here's your passport and 1.3 Mil Yuan, remember your new name is Chip Weathers (hand them a cocktail napkin) GO!".
It's not so annoying the first 5 or 6 times, but by 7 or 8 you either start to get creative or stab someone in the eye with a cocktail weenie.
Grats on both dude, it's good to hear!
Have you been engaged for a while? 12 days isn't long Just remember when doing the ceremony, don't let your nerves get the best of you, so you can enjoy the moment. She wouldn't be there if she didn't want to marry you. She won't say no at the alter
And congrats on the new job too... obviously there is a lot going on in your life and it's understandable you've been absent :P
So are we all invited to the reception?
Seconded.
QFT
And a huge Congratulations Adam, I wish you and Gail the best.
Thanks for the congrats guys! I would like to pay that forward to the rest of the Polycount team for helping out around here. Awesome job guys
Congrats!
oh and "Took you long enough!"
Is everyone here in their thirties or do yanks just get hitched really young?
Also you know the rules...Wedding Pics or it never happened...and Tumberboy can feel better again.
John
Yes....
I got 'hitched' at 21 and I just turned 35 on the 5th
Oh and say hi to Chris Fortune for me
All the best to you on the wedding, and grats on the new job too.
