I think we need more stickies...

I think its time the stickies are cleaned up. They're pretty much eating up the first page in Tech Talk and Contests and Challenges.

Suggestions:
- In tech talk, move all the "engine specific stickies" into the archive, create one sticky that has one post linking to each of the engine threads.

- Contests and challenges has a lot of DW4 stickies, they're all useful but maybe do the same thing, one thread with links, now that DW4 is winding down I think we all have the info we need and we could probably remove some of the ones that haven't been used in a 1-2 months.

This is usually best handled by moving important thread into their own section. That way they are all right where you need them.

could we get a sticky sub forum for eg. one stcky at the top of tech talk, that leads you to all the tech stickys

some stickies i still read sometimes but thats not many of them. moving them to another place like SHEPEIRO sayd would be helpfull i think.

Don't we have the Wiki for a lot of the important Technical Talk threads?

and who reads the wiki or looks into the archive or reads a "read first sticky"?

at least the stickies make sure people know certain topics are popular and have a common place... imo they have successfully reduced certain frequent issue threads

We've a small update coming around the end of May/beginning of June that'll have no other purpose other than to organize some things a little nicer around here, which will include some action on the stickies.

well if you have a stickies subpage, you can still discus the info in the sticky, so it seams better than just having a wiki.
