Prototype VS Infamous

Will you be swinging your fleshy bits around or lightning bolt those suckas in a month?

I think both games are rather similar, but I'm curious wich one other people like the most.

Personally I'm kind of getting bored with 'comic book' storytelling, and I like the action in Prototype better, so I'll be buying prototype.

Prototype gets released around June 10 and Infamous has its release late May but is a PS3 exclusive.

I'll probably pick up Prototype. Running vertically up a skyscraper and elbow dropping off the top onto a tank? Yes, please. Although I'm still annoyed the dropped co-op.

I was pretty excited for inFamous when I first heard about the premise, but the more I see of it's heavy handed, binary good/evil moral choice stuff, the less I care about it.

Prototype for sure, a bunch of my friends were working on it and have had me pumped for months.

Prototype looks better. They really had me with babies eating each other, not to mention I live next to the town it supposedly starts in.

both! They don't really look similar at all (sandbox superhero, i'll admit, but they're otherwise about as dissimilar as they can get), and they both look awesome.

Both look awesome, but I'll probably be getting infamous first. I'm a sucker for Sucker Punch games

I voted Infamous.

No sleight to Radical, because it's essentially the gameplay equivalent of Hulk: Ultimate Destruction which was pretty good, but as a developer, they've had so many misses (I do have quite a few friends who worked on it, and I hope it sells REALLY well).


But I have to hand it to Suckerpunch. Sly Cooper is such a fantastic series, and they've proven they're generally a more consistent developer with a much better track record.


That said, I'm likely getting both, but looking forward to Infamous a LOT more.

I'm not the biggest fan of the GTA genre (which I kinda think is what Prototype is - it sure doesn't look like a pure rpg or anything), which is to say I loathe it, but Prototype has caught my eye and I'm definitely buying it.

Like for some reason I did with Kane & Lynch (albeit against my better judgment) but hoping it'll be worth it.

I have zero excitement for either, I cant stand most open world games, the repetitive missions and overall genericness of most cities in them just turn me off. I have watched a ton of clips for both and they dont really do much for me, the combat looks meh, all the powers are kinda neat but I'm not really into that stuff. honestly for a long time I kept geting the two games confused and mixed up, just a lil too same old to stand out/apart to me.

no offence meant to anyone working on them, I just like a nice linear 10-12 hour game that has a clearly straight forward story and feels more like a movie to me than doing the same missions over and over.

No, I think the protagonist is the same in both games though. Isn't he also in Resistance? Y'know, the guy with the shaved head? He was the lead in Mass Effect as well I think. Guy gets around.

If i can't play it i don't care about it. So as i don't have a PS3 the only option for me to be interested in is prototype.
