It was my first Gdc, and to tell the Truth, The best part of it was getting to hang with Friends both old and new. Next year I want to go to more panels and maybe try to network a little more.
i did go this year, it was fun. every time i do, it practically breaks me financially, and this year, i didn't have a job so, it hit me extra hard! it can be a blast if you plan well ahead and have the money. i really never know what to expect when i've gone each time. you may or may not get something out of it, i've always had mixed feelings about what i've actually learned from the experience, but the energy and motivation i personally get, not to mentioning seeing some old faces, always seems worth the trouble i put myself in by deciding to go that last minute.
